Beer is one of the most preferred alcoholic beverages in Europe. There are large numbers of local players in Europe with no international presence. Consumers who do not prefer beer can always shift to these alternatives. External substitutes of beer include other non-alcoholic beverages such as carbonated drinks, dairy drinks, RTD tea and coffee and energy drinks among others.
