For years, LM has been a a leader in handling systems for confectionery and bakery products, bridging the gap between the processing phase (baking) and primary packaging. In particular, the brand is especially recognized for its conveyor belts used for distribution and feeding several machine focused on packaging.
Nowadays, the level of automation in handling lines for fresh bakery products (before baking) is increasingly advanced: higher speed is a daily request inside the dairy lines: obviously this mandatory point is linked to the creation of handling solutions with characteristics and performance similar to those of packaging lines. With one additional feature: we are dealing with “high care” zones where there is a contact with the product. Therefore, the conveyor system on which the confectionery or bread moves must have very high hygiene and sanitation standards to preserve the product’s integrity and cleanliness.
After the success of its curves and belt conveyors designed with “sanitary design” and focused on maximum hygienic performance, LM has developed a washable and sanitizable version of two of its sorting and transport modules:
– Retractable and tilting pull nose conveyor, used to discharge products or rows at a 90-degree angle in an orderly and controlled manner.
– Mobile nose timing system, used to position products arriving randomly at a consistent pitch (or in non-pressurized accumulation).
The functional and performance characteristics remain the same: as speed, compact size, and optimal product control. However, these features are enhanced with all the necessary adjustments required by a sanitizable design, including prioritizing welding over assembly where possible, improved accessibility, elimination of gaps and contact surfaces, removal of 90-degree corners, and a cantilever design for easy belt removal, among other improvements.
