iTRAK – the world’s most innovative robotic solution for managing production

iTRAK is a modular, scalable linear motor system that allows for independent control of multiple movers on straight or curvilinear paths. Seeing iTRAK in operation is fascinating. Chains, belts and mechanics have been replaced by magnetically driven movers which run in both directions, linearly and in rotation, and independently of one another. Words like modularity, scalability and speed take on new meaning in the context of increased production efficiencies.
iTRAK is a whole new way of thinking about production tracks delivering real value for both OEMs and production managers. End-users experience remarkably high productivity gains of at least 50 per cent.
Chain and belt driven systems have traditionally been used in a wide variety of industries, for example common packaging applications where pockets, driven by chain, push products through the packaging process. These mechanical systems, with fixed pitch between pockets are inflexible, require high maintenance and suffer performance limitations. iTRAK solves this problem with the Rockwell Automation patented MagLev technology. Tools or end effectors ride on a software-controlled magnetic wave. Pitch and speed are constantly variable providing complete flexibility with little maintenance and high performance.
iTRAK is ideal for improving the efficiency of packaging lines, for example within the F&B or pharmaceutical industries, and for assembly lines for machine construction.  All movers can be individually programmed with Studio5000 Logix Designer™ software so that each can perform as many tasks as possible in the shortest possible time – rather than waiting for each other in a long line. Since the iTRAK system is suitable for a wide range of applications in different production environments and industries, switching to new products or different production sequences is simple and fast.
Although iTRAK is a technically complex product, it does not require mechanical engineers to learn new skills.
